I must admit that I've been deluged by requests from one of our political parties for donations and I find that annoying. But at least I know that if I contribute, my money will be going to support the people and ideas that I think best represent what I consider to be important for this country. This is true for all of us. I think that is what government by and for the people is about. When anonymous corporate or foreign money vastly outspends the citizenry, then we are moving away from democracy and into corporate feudalism.
